    Default DNP Advice

SWIM did a cycle of 400mg for 4 weeks. Lost around 5kg.

This time he wants to do 500mg for 43 days. Is this wise? What would y'all recommend.

Agreed. I only realised this when I got to 800mg/day though hehe...

I remember seeing on an american forum one user running it at 1.7grams a day, said he went from 280lbs -> 240lbs pretty quickly so hes obviously a big boy. Would any of you say that DNP loses effectiveness the more you use it? I've heard the body doesnt build a tolerance to it but some people seem to believe the former.

certainly do build a tollerance to it, science proves this and my personal use proved it when i went from 110kg to 102kg in 40 days then in the final 20 days nothing much was happening even at 400mg a day once i got upto 600-800mg weight started coming off again, its either take it short term high doses building it up slowly while its still working or long term lowish dose 300mg max.

I didnt stick to the 800mg for long, was very hard to breathe lol. I honestly didn't get much out of it either. I got the best results from staying on 200-400/day for a longer period.

quick question on DNP, i think i probably already know the answer.
say if you were coming off DNP could you safely drop the water weight within a couple of days? ive heard its not a crash hot idea when on but if most/all of the DNP was out of your system is it possible?

wasnt thinking of using any hardcore diuretics, probably just a whole heap of green tea and water.

    Yes.

Although I found using a mild herbal diuretic whilst on made water management better.

but at the same time it is ALWAYS harder to lose body fat, the lower your body fat is. With any weight loss routine you will get to a point where you need to do more exercise or cut calories to keep lowering body fat. To me DNP is just a multiplier e.g. calorie output is 1.2 times what it normally would, meaning I will get to that equilibrium weight where loses plateau faster, then I will have to cut calories, train harder, or up the dose

To prove that the body builds a tolerance to DNP you would expect to get get to the plateau weight then start gaining weight while keeping calories and training exactly the same.

Depends on how lean you wish to get.

With correct training and a proper diet that wont crash your metabolism it's quite possible to get fairly lean (10%) without the use of any drugs/supplements.

Getting into shape for competition I have no exp with so I will reserve comment on this as all I would be speaking from is conversations of others who I know have and what I have read. Not enough to start dishing out advice IMO. But I will say that it's done by people I know and they manage to stay VERY close to comp shape year round without plateau's.

Then again I am speaking from the stand point that you have some lean mass to begin with. It's always going to be far easier to drop fat with some lean mass than those who are overfat with little to no muscle. I found the answer to overcome the plateau in my journey was to add more muscle to my frame, done by periodic cycling of bulking and cutting.

No this wasn't something I read from Layne Norton, just purely because I would normally get annoyed of the body fat gained after about 8-10 weeks of a bulk and would cut back.

    Back to DNP lol

Laz, just for future reference what dose did you use? i have a bottle of blackmores herbal diuretic somewhere, did you just have like 1 tablet a day? Seems any more would be playing with fire, but the idea of minimising the bloat sounds pretty good.

I can't recall which one I used, I grabbed it off Iherb.

Herbal diuretics are not going to do nearly as much as script ones, so I doubt you could do any harm, regardless of how much you took. I found that the process of passing water through my system, therefore retaining less, was evident when using the herbal diuretics and next time I use dnp I'll use them again.

Nice to know mate, thx for the advice. Certainly is an ugly bloat when on

I ended up looking for blackmores herbal diuretic, was unable to find it so got one from a health store called 'XTRACT' or something. Seemed to work pretty well but made me feel pretty much like ratshit, constant headaches etc I believe this to be pretty common among these types of products. I dont really bloat that much on DNP though.

I'm a bit like Mick when it comes to DNP. Can't say I tolerated it too well even @ 200mg per day, epic night sweats and daytime lethargy ruled out going to 300mg or 400mg as planned. That's rare for me cause I am not normally hyper sensitive to any kind of drug or medication, i.e. I can have a long tall black coffee and go straight to bed and sleep.

Question: I've still got some left over, do you think I would get much out of 100mg per day over say a 3 week period (in conjunction with calorie controlled diet and regular exercise, of course ) ???

Tony just cause people have been using it getting the results they wanted on 400-600mg doesn't mean it wont work for you at 200mg. If your getting all the side effects = to that of someone running 400-600mg then 200mg at the moment until you build up a tolerance is your desired level and you certainly will be getting some results from it.
So stick with 200mg and count yourself lucky as you fit into the category of someone that doesn't need to take much for the results to happen so its costing you less.
