hahahaha, i would love to but my weapon of choice would be a shotty with buck shot ammo or a rifle or crossbow at the very least, Reason being is it is fucking insane shit and a wild boar can tear a man apart.
Most people go with automatic shotties cause if a boar charges you and you miss in the time it takes to reload your fucked! proper fucked!!
i've been hunting with small bore rifles and shotguns since i was pretty young. been a long time since i have been out for a shot but i'd be a lil worried about a charging boar being stopped by a shotgun. dog and a knife is even scarier! worth a shot tho, fuck it i'm game.
compound bow eh MRT, what are you hunting with that? i do like the thought of it cos of the skill of it all, i used to enjoy hunting with a .22 cos i had to be good enough to get close and to get a head shot on roo's, wombats, foxes, rabbits etc. enjoyed the hunt of it, duck hunting was alright but not as fun as chasing rabbits n roos.
is there deer over your way? i thought deer were a victorian thing, i have seen them in mildura but i assumed that they must've escaped from captivity i thought they were fallows, goats'd be alright, is the meat any good from wild goat?
how'd you manage the fish?
Few escaped ones in a forrestry i used to hunt in
Get the fuck on down the road
lol.. an emu ....
sounds fairly interesting
any hunting sites in sydney or near round !???
went shooting over the long weekend!
Nyngan through to coolabah.
Got everything from rabbits, hares, foxes in nyngan, to goats and 1 small hog in coolabah.
Shot sat night all around nyngan, sunday in coolabah, then again sunday night in nyngan.
Can shoot easily around there with out the worry of police too much. but in coolabah we were on a farm. So much driving and so tiring but well worth it. Went with my old man and brothers.
Man i used to live in darwin. was there for 10 months (it was hell i hated it)
But man the fishing and shooting there was unbelievable! Go out 30min from the jetty and with in 2 hrs you'd have to come home because you run out of bait!
The shooting, every time you went out you'd get a pig for sure!!!!
I took my pitty that i used to have there with me and my left it there with my cousin and he takes her piggn all the time! He even has cages on the back his landcrusier ute for his dogs haha. He a true farm boy
i hear around qld is the same, sounds great. i would love to go up that way just to go for a couple of days on a charter boat and maybe blast a pig or camel or something.
Yeah, i've done it a bit, up in Cape York with some of the locals. It's pretty intense. We would just walk through the bush, then the dogs would run off and chase down a pig or two, then you have to run up through the bush to find the dogs, flip the pig and stick it through the heart.
One of the locals had an old .303, had to use it once or twice when the pigs bailed up a couple of big boars that were too big to flip.
Oh yeah, you have to carry the dead fucken thing out on your shoulders as well......That's probably the least enjoyable part.
this was on the news the other week.
