Anybody ever seen these? Seem pretty pricey.Is it possible to get hormone levels from saliva?

medicare covered blood tests are free though unless your afraid of needles

Not only possible, but often preferable. The results from saliva tests can be far more accurate. Cortisol is best tested via saliva, as is melatonin, as examples.

Mate I don't know what, if any, saliva tests Medicare pays for. I would think not much. And will that change? Not any time soon.

We need a completely different approach in this country when it comes to testing, what's covered, who pays, how much..... and it needs to be done with doctors. That's the hard part.

Could this be a good thing for guys who want to see where there test levels are at midcycle or even guys who are abit scepticle about the gear their on?

These test kits are perfect for people who want to track their hormones, pre, during, and post-cycle. It's private and affordable.

Indeed, though it's a shame you can't get a total picture of where your free test is at.

Measuring for "Free test" is considered in some circles to be a waste of time measuring. Some labs don't do it anymore. It's a vague calculation at best and the other key markers are more important.

I suppose in the case of coming off cycle total test recovery is what's important which can be measured and compared to previous results.

Yes. Post-cycle you are most interested, imo, in total test, estrogen, and SHBG.

I dont know much about hormone testing at all.what testosterone do these kits pick up? total test?

Yes, total test, total estrogen, total SHBG, total DHEA and so on....

Bottomline? These are excellent if you need to, or want to, avoid pathology labs and doctors.

Bit bloody pricey though compared to blood tests for FREE!

Yes, that they are, but for doing mid-cycle testing they may be a better a way. It's my plan.
