Thats a hard question as there are so many variables, particually with accom.

I mean if you stay in a hotel its going to cost more than if you get an appartment, but an appartment you will have to pay a bond, so you will need money your willing to not have to spend for that, although you will get it back.

Everyone ahs diff levels of what they find exceptable to live.

I like one hotel here that is about 800-1000baht a night and has a swimming pool, pretty basic, kindve like a comfort inn I guess, but right in the middle of all the action.

My staff stay in a room that is 5000Bht a month, just a basic room with aircon and a tv and bed, has a bathroom, but bucket shower. (I would stay there if it meant i could stay an extra month and spend more on gear/supps)

Thai prices i gave just divide by 30 to get AUS price.

Id your guna fuck girls this is guna cost you, dont think you wont, because you will, dont think you might every few days, because you will everyday.

Girls cost between 500-700baht (short time) and 1000-2000(long time), and with in a 2km radius of my shop there is an estimated 18000 girls between 18-30 that are all avail for $30aus.

Low season (april-october) is alot cheaper, hotels will fight for your money as will the girls, websites like lastminute, agoda, asiarooms etc offer amazing deals this time of year.

Dont worry about the political shit in thailand, it is isolated to areas in the bangkok CBD, we didnt even know it was on until we got a call from AUS.

Food is cheap, if you like thai food, western food is cheaper than aus, but will still add up. I buy whole BBQ chickens for 120baht ($4)

Anyway, im running outve time, ask specifics and ill try tell you guys how much things cost, so you can work out how much it would cost

You have to eat off the carts and road side stalls, some the most amazing food is from these places.

Dont be scared, too many peopel miss out on things from being scared.

Dont drink the tap water though.

Ive had food poisoning 3 times in 5years. Everytime from eating froma western resturant........think about it, thai people dont have alot of experience with western food, theres alot more chance of them fucking it up.

Bulking food, i eat those chickens everyday, but if you get an appartment with a kitchen you will be able to go to Carrfour which is the same as coles or wollies and buy steacks and all the shit you buy in aus.
