yeah skulls do put alot of pressure on the joint already even without locking out.

That's not entirely true mate, I can think of at least 2 exercises where it is beneficial to lock out...

As for the skull crushes, you can do a variation that takes the pressure right off the elbows and will hit the long head perfectly...
Instead of going overhead, have the bar rest behind your head then push the bar backwards instead of up... Lighter weight must be used here, its about control and squeeze rather than big weight...

Only one i can think of is while having a rest up top when doing squats.
    What's your opinion?

Wasn't meaning to be a smartass about it, so if it came accross that way, my apologies... Anyway, 3 exercises that come to mind where lockout is beneficial...

    1) Deadlift... It isn't a true deadlift unless you go to the lockout position with shoulders down and back, also can place a little too much strain on the lower back if you aren't upright enough...
    2) Leg extension... To get a full contraction when doing these there must be a lockout and a pause... The problem with this is that many people just go too heavy and end up swinging the weight or hurting their knees when trying to lockout... Low weight, control, lockout and squeeze the quads to get the most out of this exercise...
    3) Rope tricep pushdown... Same with the above, to get a full contraction the elbows should lockout to the sides... Again, lower weight and control is what achieves this...

yep yep thats all normal im referring to locking out a joint under tension of weighted force a big no no, things like bench press, leg press etc etc.
All of the above you listed is 100% normal wouldn't even put it in the category of locking out although it is locking out...lol

    Don't apologise.
I still believe you are not advanced, it does not mean you don't have significant muscle and it's not an insult, but I still reckon you could benefit from heavy compound full body workouts 3 days per week with one day to work on any weaknesses.

    Good Luck Bloke.

This is the most absurd thing I have ever read. You have probably read to many magazines.
Anyhow, welcome to the forum and good luck.

Would you mind posting a pic of your physique? it would be interesting to see what can be achieved with full body training. You must be huge if you think that I am still a beginner.

I don;t have to prove anything. Also I have just started in the past 2-3 months training in this fashion after a long lay-off.

What's the difference if I'm small or huge if I think you're a beginner?

I am a beginner too, that's why I ditched split routines, I am not advanced enough and I can admit that.

This is what we were looking for. From the way you post is as if you have the know how and proper way to do everything, so i and many others were keep to see the results of what training the way you do with your diet can do.
Your attacks on people training or somewhat slacking off with diet is out of line. Look you yourself have only really just gotton back into training. you had a long time off and now you need a calorie restricted diet to get into shape. even you fk up so dont go round blasting us with your views calling us lazy and what not when you yourself have done the same thing. you may have a reason for it but dont we all?

Attacks..My God I have attacked no one.
I was not lazy I was ill but I didn't really want to mention that.
During my my illness I really started to learn more about the body, nutrition, training so when I was well again I could attack it from a different angle.
I bulked up again for 3 months to regain lost muscle but made the decision never to be in a bulked state again, so I went on calorie restrictions until i am satisfied with my look.
Also in between this was a 6 weeks holiday to Europe where i didn't train either.

For someone who is such a guru on all things bodybuilding it's now apparent that you are not. During your illness you learnt about the body and nutrition, training etc so you 'bulked up' but you wont be doing that again?

WTF if you were so knowledgeble about all this why would you ever BULK?

Surely a Zen master of bodybuilding such as yourself could have dropped body fat whilst gaining a heap of muscle?

It is now VERY evident that you are yet to walk the walk with anything you write but my assumption that you are just regurgitating with your posts was correct. Comment and offer opinions but don't just flat out say people are wrong without considering what others who have been there and done it have to add.
