Thread: thoughts on my diet?

    Default thoughts on my diet?

    this is my current diet, it is pretty much this and has been for the last 2 months:

    5:30am: apple on my way to the gym
    6am: workout with BCAA and gatorade powder
    7:30am: shake with 30g protein, banana, qauter cup oats, handfull frozen berries and soy milk.
    10:30am:apple.
    12:30pm steamed chicken breast, Bok choi handfull of rice.
    3:30pm: protein shake (water).
    6pm: chicken breast or steak with brocolli.

    25yo 84kg

    goals: to lean up (can currently pinch more than an inch)

    over the last 2 months i havent noticed a huge change i also run 45 mins 3 times a week

    any idea where im going wrong?

    ah shit i responded in your other thread.

    drop gatorade. i eat nothing PreWO, just a creatine/no drink, but no sugar

    drop bannana and add more oats, i can mix 80g oats into a shake lol

    add half hand full of mix raw nuts with afternoon shake

    casine shake before bed.

    How do you train?
    I look exactly like Shawn Ray except for my biceps, triceps, chest, shoulders, abs, back, traps, quads, hamstrings, and calves.

    Whats happening in the gym? are you maintaing strength or getting weaker?

    How do you feel generally? are you tired all the time or do you feel pretty good most of the time?

    Fat loss may have stalled for a number of reasons, 1 could be due to eating too few cals. I think you should be atleast aiming for around 180gm - 200gm of protein per day. There is no good fats in there either, get on some fish oil and drizzle olive oil over your vegies. Drop the Soy have your shake mixed with water if you cant handle real milk.

    What Thrasha has said is also pretty much on the mark too, a Casien shake and some mixed nuts (if you're not allergic to them)

    i assumed fish oil is just as important as taking vitamins, thats why i didnt mention it.
    50g of mix raw nuts should be good to add some fats.

    Good advice Bingo. Dub just make sure its extra virgin olive oil

    Man I drink a bottle of Powerade (add pre workout powder - super pump 250) and an apple before working out. Find I need some carbs in system otherwise I crash during workout.

    how long does it take you to workout? I do 2 body parts (chest bis, back tris) in 45min max! around 5-6 exercise 4sets (not including warm up set). Keep it quick and intense! just like sex with me haha

    Quick and intense never belong in different sentences when im describing my sex life.

    Im 45 minutes for weights..

    cardio atm im doing

    500m row (1:45mins) then 20 pushups, 20 situps, 20 like squat with a db then push it up above your head, then 20 lunges with a bb held above your head. i do that 3 times in a row with no breaks... do that 3-4 times a week atm..

    cut cals to around 2000 and dropped 2kg in 2 weeks and no noticable strength loss at all.

    Currently man hitting the gym for bout 1hr. 10 min cross trainer warm up, and then two body parts per session (ie chest & tris).

    Am looking at changing routine to one exercise on 4 - 5 parts per day.
