DG wanted and wanted it badly. He won. Game over.

It wasn't a fix. Fox News reported this morning that Jones may have lost a $10 million payday because of this. Apparently he was set to fight Hopkins in March and now it appears that is off. Let's face it Jones underestimated Green just as we all did. As Laz said, the better fighter won on the night.

He lost nothing! He got paid to come here... Why else would he fight him? His career was over, he was out of shape, took a dive to give a younger boxer a career is how i see it.

If you were over the hill, got an offer from some1 for a fight that wasnt easy to turn down, took it, and there in started another boxers career would you do it? Take the money and run i rekn lol. RJ probably put a million on himself to lose with those odds! hahaha

The punch was not a clean hit that should have knocked RJ out. Unless he is punch drunk then it really shouldnt have phased him.

Watch it carefully, he gets hit, his head doesnt wobble a mm, and he places himself on the ground...

Look i have no doubt that DG would have won. I was expecting 1 of 2 things. Either DG gets a clean hit and its all over, or RJ wears him thin and goes for the kill round 7 onwards. But the fact is, it wasnt a clean hit!

Hopkins is fightin that spanish guy isnt he?

RJ is over the hill fighting wise. He did underestimate DG! Maybe his american cockyness lol. But i still think it was a fall.

Fk danny green got beat by Mundine. Do you think mundine would have done well against RJ? Actually it would be a good fight lol, they both very fast!

better fighter ??????? are u serious ????? 10 years ago green wouldnt make the cut as one of RJ's sparring parteners this guy was pound for pound number 1 for 10 years and classed by some as best fighter of all time ,,how dare u say green is the better fighter he got lucky man its boxing jones got caught it happens

this wasnt having a go at u laz,,ive just followed jones career since forever

No fix he was caught cold, he had a big payday with hopkins comming up,,,mabye danny green making jones wait in the rinf for 25 minuites before the fight started had something to do with it,,,,caught cold end of story,,,,

rj is waaay past his prime ,,but we could have this rj vs green 100 times and 99 out of 100 times jones would win,,,green got lucky ,,hey respect to the guy,,but people saying he is the better fighter makes me want to fight them!!

Luck had nothing to do with it... RJJ got caught with a measured punch from Green, it's not like Green was just wildly throwing them, he hit RJJ with a well measured punch, thats it... RJJ obviously didn't expect Green to come out like that, and once hit he never recovered... There's no luck there...
RJJ underestimated Green... And like MRT said, thats boxing...

Ok i have re-watched the video a couple of times now, here is my opinion.
Danny Green lays a nice clean hit close to the sternum area and he follows this with a right hook to the head, RJ ducks and also raises his left shoulder slightly deflecting and removing some of the power from the head punch.

It very well could be taking a dive, unless the sternum punch was what took most of it out of him.

Post fight RJ seemed to be ok, so I don't know it maybe a fall it maybe the biggest pay day he has had if he was backing DG for a knockout in the first round.

quickly pause/play the video when it is coming to the KO and you will see what i mean, playing in slow motion.

I dont think it was the sternum punch. Otherwise he'd be gasping for air.

Thanks ON for maybe slightly seeing things my way. Pay day for every1 involved i think hahahaha.

I give it to green though, he's learnt to cover up and not to go punch for punch so to say.

Mate, one thing's for sure. You're only as good as your last fight, and the guy lost. The better man won on the night. It's not rocket science, just simple fact. People can carry on all they like about colds, underestimating, a thrown fight, or any other nonsense they like, but once in the ring, one guy won and the other lost. End of story.
