Basically was sick of being skinny! i had ribs visible on my chest and didnt even have any muscle there lol
Pretty much the same for me!

Sick of being skinny, called skinny, and feeling insecure and powerless.
Always wanted to be bigger my whole life and will continue to my whole life i think but instead of wishing and getting no where, I decided if i wanted to be bigger i'd have to do something about it.

I have always been known as a fighter so it wasnt a worry to me that i was skinny in that sense, but i guess i was sick of being singled out cos i was skinny. As soon i put on a little size i never really had to fight lol.... or maybe i was just over compensating because i was skinny ahahaha

Yea i was also in this same situation i wasn't a fighter but was always in fights cause i was always singled out for me size as an easy fight so i learned to even the odds with weapons and rage aka grab the closest thing near you and smash it of as many peoples head as possible.

This was the main reason i felt this way cause i had to resort to this kinda shit and it doesn't always work.

Was sick of always getting dropped on my ass playing footy, started weight training and eventually gave up footy when I was 17-18 but kept up the weight training because it gave me more satisfaction.

I was a Jnr Aussie Rep Swimmer as a kid, then my family had a fight with my coaches and pulled me out, played rugby league & union at high levels, as well as boxing and martial arts, but in the offseasons would stop training completely and pack beef on.
By 19 I was a fatarse playing no sport as I had broken my arm playin footy and lost my motivation.
Decided to go to a gym to suss it out and I met a dude called Harry Haureliuk (Aussie Bodybuilding legend), who thought I showed some promise, he took me under his wing and showed me the ropes, from there harry helped get me comp ready, competed in 2 shows and did decently....

Then I started pro wrestling, got smashed, destroyed my lower back, its taken 10 years for me to be able to lift properly again....the time is now upon us.

Was a competitive motocross racer for many years, just recetly lost my mojo for riding, and need something to take up my time, but luckily nowhere near as expensive! I actually like the idea of being and looking fit, plus I hope it would get me a girlfriend

Old thread but a good one, revived. I was 70kg and couldnt put on weight, wanted to just fill out a tshirt initially then found hypertrophy training and put on much more size. Left it for many years, and only just got back into it, always missed it. Keep on Lifting.
