I have used it through a doctor before which is basically the oonly version that works as the OTC ones are too weak. And it kinda worked, just a more deeper sleep, but iam not currently taking it at the moment, if your having problems sleeping it might have an effect, if your fine it might not do much.
It does work but it's just one of those things you dont know how much its working unless you have major issues and it turns those issues upside down and makes you feel great.

from what i understand the otc melatonin is kind of like the 'DHEA' they sell here, its pretty easy to get the real stuff from the states, usually only costs $2-3 a bottle which should last you a few months (dont think this is strictly legal but ive had it checked and cleared by customs like 3-4 times).
I tend to cycle melatonin a bit but ive found in periods where id struggle to get to sleep, 3mg of melatonin would put me out like a lightbulb within 45 minutes or so.

I started taking this about 5 days ago. Took it for 3 days. Worked a charm... was OTC stuff too.

i get the 3mg stuff from us (real, not homeopathic like you get here) and it works, but it helps you drift off faster and have deeper sleep it's not a like a sleeping pill that knocks you out.

Also as a side effect i get nasty head aches from it usauly only if i use it a few times in a row. Most ppl don't though (i'm quite prone to head aches).

    Use it often.

Forget homeopathic versions, they simply do not work.

Get it from Iherb, cheap as chips.

It is a script item here and a hopeless price.

It is NOT a sleeping pill
It is NOT a sleeping aid, per se,
    It is a hormone normaliser.

    Cheers

If I'm going to use a sleep aid, I'm going to use Tamazepam. It's guaranteed to put you into such a deep sleep that they might have to put you into hospital. (Sponsored by Ben Cousins) lol

Normasin is a good script sleeping pill that is not addictive, you can't OD on, and you feel great the next day.

Having said that, if you're melatonin deficient, and you can be tested for it, then supplementing with 3mg tabs will improve your overall sleep cycles. It's great for shift workers like me to help normalise after shitty shifts. It's also very good for jet lag.

    Cheers

Thanks for the tip. I've got to go in for a health check up next week so I might ask my GP to test for it as well.

I not sure but i don't think it's as easy as walking into a med center and getting a blood test done i think it needs to be done in hospital or sleep center in the middle of your sleep or somehing liek that

    No, not at all.

You can have a test done by a GP, you simply need to ask for it.

it is best done as a 24hr saliva test to get the most accurate results.

I did a saliva test a little while ago and my melatonin levels were way out of range, and got told that i may suffer from seasonal depresion.I do work in an office so in winter i get bugger all sunlight. Also i aim struggling to fall asleep big time and dont want to resort to sleeping pills as they make me feel groggy as fuck the next day, so iam thinking i could benefit from taking some melatonin.

That iherb site has some solid prices, thanks for that.

My advice for you? Go to Iherb and buy Vitamin D C3 10,000IUs and start taking one a day.

    Cheers

normison is a brand for temazepam, and is indeed addictive and a benzo, so you can od and die...

stilnox is the non-addictive one, but has strange side effects with certain people.

Mate, what exactly in this thread are you refering to being dribble?I am simply seeking some reviews on melantonin being used as a suppliment, as my melatonin levels were stuffed when i had them checked.

My mistake regarding Normison, but I was given iit by a doctor some time ago and was told it wasn't addictive. My bad.

But CT you might like to get a grip and layoff the bs you sprout, although have you been drinking again? Seriously.

As for facepalming? If the threads are such a waste, then piss off.

That posts frustrations wasn't directed at you laz, it was directed at the shit i read before this thread, that i did not reply to.
