100% agree the car is a collectors item and it should hold it's value or increase possibly in the future.
Back in 2002 when the car was released i said man i wish i could own one of them, thinking it would never happen so since 2002 i have owned the model of my car. So in terms if what the future holds i will probably only ever sell it if i need the money otherwise i see no reason in ever selling it.

In terms of mods after i get the LPG fitted thats it, im probably not touching it anymore. I certainly can easily return the car to stock by simply bying a new inlet manifold,extractors/exhaust,radiator plasctic shroud and standard harmonic balancer.

The LS1 motor and the following motors LS2 etc etc etc all are very similar so there are litterally thousands of spare parts for them i will not have a problem in locating any of the above items.

The LPG system simply has a few holes drilled into the manifold and thats about it, the car will not lose value.
Anyone who can see the benefit of the mod will also see this.

But it all doesn't matter as i don't forsee me ever selling the car if possible i'd like to keep it for many many years.

Ok i got the car tuned today it put out 260.3KW/348.9HP on LPG and 250KW/335.1HP on petrol see the picture the blue line is petrol and red is gas. So LPG makes 10.3KW/13.8HP more than petrol.
Oztrak motorsport tuned the car said this was the most powerful car tuned without having done any internal engine work ie cams etc mods i have are:

    Liquid LPG injection
    Powerbond harmonic balancer 25% underdriven
    Full pacemaker exhaust/extractors
    Ramjet cold air intake
    MSD ignition leads

Nice. I can see why you think that you'll never sell it.

    Mickey Thompson Street Slicks......yeeha
Going to take it for a run at Eastern Creek next Wednesday night if anyone wants to come on down and have a geez.
Also got some new GTO rims for it as the old ones lost their shine and needed new ones anyway so the racing slicks would look good on the old ones....lol
This cut out thing in the video above has also been put on the car, mine sounds way better than this blokes i'll make a video of it soon so ya can hear it.

That's not a bad output.. My foreman has 280rwkw with zorst CAI and dynotune.. on petty tho.

Holden's (even chev) motor can vary 10% to the claimed output figure. Not all motors have the same power or closer tolerances like mercs and better branded cars etc.. So you might get 300rwkw on stock and the guy next to you might get 50kw less and holden will still say, that's normal. Also gotta keep in mind dyno's arn't all the same..

how much those cutouts set ya back? Ill show my foreman them, he'll jizz his pants

Fuck i wish i could have another descent car.. ive gone from 400rwhp datsun 1600 to a stock 4cyl petty hilux lol

Had a barina in there too 1.3litres of automatic goodness..

You going to change the diff gears?

gtos are nice.... but everything can be changed back to standard
a collectors car imo are the SLR's and the lj toranas oo oo and the hq monaro..
ooooo they give me a stiffy
and the falcon gtho phase 3 mmmmmmmmm mmmmm
    anyway,
very nice details on it on... it seems the mods are way more expensive on ur car then it'd be on a 4-6. can i ask u how ur finding the under drives? ive been wanting to do this to which ive heard it screws with ur air con, and stalls the car sometimes too
    sigh

Awesome stuff so now you have race wheels, everyday wheels and you need to get a pair of burnout/dounut wheels

I don't see the point in running an underdrive system unless you plan on driving the car over 50% max revs for the time you're driving..

what is the point for sydney drivers? we can barely get into 3rd gear before you gotta back off for fear of loss of license or rear ended into gridlock lol

Cut outs were $600 in parts and $300 in labour to have them fitted got them from badlandz in the states. Wont be changing the diff gears just looking to have a little bit of fun on the track not looking at setting any records...lol

Nah never had a problem its just a lighter harmonic balancer...25% lighter so there is less rotational mass on the crank shaft = better reving and more power.

Haha yeah i have 2 old GTO rims for that might get around to it one day.

It's really not like that you might be thinking of gilmer drive or straight cut gears, its basically the same just lighter so it revs better and puts out more power.

So its doesn't run the acc's 25% slower?
I always thought that's what an underdrive did.

    Whats the power difference??

Changing gears will change the characteristics of the car..

i had 4.875 rear in my 1200 ute.. could spin into 4th gear! was awesomely fast to 120kph lol

my old 5litre commy had a 3.08 rear.. was useless.. by 3rd gear i was over 100kph and ready to slow down again.. to low to keep spinning all the time to.. less fun IMO

diff gears make the biggest difference man..

no air con etc is still the same its just lighter metal than the cast iron one that comes on the car. not looking at changing diff gears its got the standard HSV ratios they use on it plenty of power can wheel spin at 130kmh in 3rd. chews nothing in petrol on the freeway in 6th and getting up it pretty much whenever i drive it im still getting 14-16L per 100km at a cost of about $7-8 per 100 on gas.

Ahh ok, massive confusions when i read "under drive pulley".. As i know race cars change their pulleys to stop wearing out alternators and "under drive" them so to speak..

What ratio you got in the hsv? You been in one with a 4.11 rear?
