Is it just me, or they guy that did that video of under his car was a bit mad? No wheel chocks, trolley jack at almost full extension under his diff, no axle stands neither. Fuck that but I wouldnt have been climbing under it!
ON - have you dyno'ed with the new cut outs? Sometimes loosing that back pressure in your system can actually be detrimental. Yours is pretty worked though so likely not. Be interesting though to see the dyno comparison.
I see what you are saying cwat - I changed diff gears in my XA and made it an instant skid machine with 3.9's.
Nah not re-dynoed yet. But i know there is more power there now its wheel spinning alot easier when i shift from 2nd to 3rd it use to chirp from 2nd to 3rd at 6000rpm now its letting out a skid from 2nd to 3rd at 6000rpm and its also wheel spinning between 4500rpm-6000rpm in 3rd. It didn't use to fry up so easily. Sounds like a v8 super car its mad.
Cut outs are closed for the burnouts cause the officials kicked up a stink about how loud it was on my first run, so then once i was staged i opened them up to full noise down the track.

454 ftw lol
Sounds sex, this i gotta see.
ok ok...lol i have finally made up my mind and paid for the thing.
On its way from the USA ...cheapest today with out dollar nearly paired up is the new powerplant 7.4L 454ci LSX454 crate motor....yeeha.
Probably take me some time to get it all ready to drop in but hopefully january i reckon i'll have the time and all the parts needed.
Also to go with this is just as above in the video FAST 102mm intake 102mm throttle body, also got a set of ARP head studs with steel gaskets so if i wanna run NOS at some stage i can, while the heads are off they will be ported along with the manifold. At a guess with the porting and mafless re-tune it should be around 550-600RWHP
Oh and i got a carbon fiber drive shaft on its way too.
Very nice. What 30,000 for that. Lol
carbon fibre drive shaft.. wtf.. they can make em that strong now??
Gotta upgrade the drivetrain for the extra torque with that motor??
Gotta get it emissions tested now ay with the new motor?
Carbon fiber shafts are rated over 1500HP, i know a guy that has one who is making 1700HP and he has had it in for 2 years now without breaking it. And if it does break warranty is it will be replaced for free cause they are unbreakable. www.gforce1320.com check em out.
With the CF shaft the rest of the drive train will be sweet cause when you take off hard the load is put into the shaft first and it has spring in it, so it takes the load and lessens the impact on the rest i know the guy running his GTO with this shaft pulling 9.4s with stock rear end. The shaft also makes for faster times. One guy got 1/2 sec quicker with the spring in it it winds up like a rubber band and you spring out faster your 60ft time is massivley improved.
Emissions....lol yeah right i know people it will pass rego no probs. Although i will be running the LPI anyways so it is enviro friendly to begin with.
Never heard of it before ay.. Sounds like a good idea with the spring.. The main killer for manuals is not being able to pre-load the drivetrain for take off.. This sounds like it takes some load off..
AWESOME!!!!!
If you can get it re rego'd thats fine.. But soon as highway pulls your over and see's its no ls1 he will make you go to the epa.. or you could hope just defect you for other mods and your mate clears them..
Hmm not sure at a guess low 11,s high 10's remembering this cars weighs 1700kg.
But it's still sounds nice to say you have a 454 under the hood or 7.4L's.....lol
I saw a video last night of a guy running the same motor no engine work just straight crate motor a 200HP shot of nos doing 9's....lol and the nos put him at 810RWHP on the dyno....lol and these are heavy cars.
your confusing my car with some woggy WRX i dont get pulle dover as it is already.
but yeah it will get rego no problems and i highly doubt it will get defected.
Here is one of the GTO im talking about with the CF shaft he has a 402ci
ON, seriously......
YOU'RE A BASTARD!!! I am so friggen jealous!!!
I'm hoping in a few months I'll have the cash flow to do some mods to my VZ Senator, might have to catch up for a drag when its all done :-p I am leaning toward just sticking a blower on mine with a few internal mods, but after hearing that 454 I'm not sure what I want now!!
Hey a good idea, start a thread with pics detailing the engine upgrade from start to finish, I would be VERY interested in following that!!! Please please!! Lol
yeah i'll take pics when i get it in, at the moment they just shippe dout my FAST intake throttle and a few other goddies, engine ships out on the 20th of this month.
I went the 454 cause i know i always want more so went the biggest block i could get and its cast iron so it lasts forever, i also got a set of steel head gaskets and ARP head studs so if i ever wanna run nos i can without worrying about head gaskets. Plus this head and block combo have the 6 bolt per cyclinder head sealing for 28% better clamping, so you do not blow heads, they have tested these babys with up to 2500HP twin turbo. So its a pretty bullet proof motor.
The order is basically the following:
LSX 454
FAST LSXr intake 102mm
FAST throttle body 102mm
melling high volume oil pump
FAST 50/lb hr fuel injectors
intake port seals
ARP head studs
steel head gaskets
FAST billet fuel rails
You can live in a car, but you can't race a house!
Sounds like you live like this lol
