Thanks for asking, and in the case you wanna know more I'll probably update in a few weeks when I get fully set up here.
Training 4 times a week is all you need mate, you won't lose muscle mass unless your diet is shot.
You've actually got a better chance of growing with only 3-4 days training. Recovery is as important as the training and diet itself, three factors to make or break your progress.

Muscle up? Isn't that crossfit jargon for "I'm lightweight and need to train harder and eat more until I'm a heavy muscular mofo that does real wide grip chin ups" lol.

Oh man, like, I can do wide grip pull ups as well, but muscle ups using no, or almost none, momentum are pretty good in my opinion

I love what crossfitters call wide grip, its what bodybuilders call close grip. If its not 2x shoulder width, its not wide grip fellas ok

In that video their advice is based on maximising momentum from what I heard?

Which is kind of good if you're using it as a preparing exercise for explosive training, but not really if you wanna build raw strength and it could even be considered cheating

Explosive training isn't the argument tho. Mass is.

Exactly, I'm not trying to argue, but they're not that much of a bad exercise.

What would be the purpose for adding this to your training, where would it benefit and what do you expect to gain from it?

Cant argue there. However building mass and strength means if you do get away, you would be better at doing the Donkey Kong thing, throwing barrels at them :-)

It's not on my routine, but when I tried it out, without using momentum, I did certainly feel my muscles being put into work.
