    Default Massage/body treatment

    Hey everyone,
    what are your thoughts on having treatment done and which types to get?
    I'm currently going by the rule that when you have a niggling injury or structural imbalance you would see a chiropractor to address the issue however if it is just general soreness from hard training i go get a massage from the thai place. (this place has no happy endings )
    so what is your take on this, myotherapy any good? cryotherapy?

    I prefer deep tissue massage and stretching.

    Depends on how disciplined you are with stretching/foam rolling etc. if you don't do any, or very little as you feel you don't 'need' to; you're probably wrong like I was - go lie down on a physio's table and let him have a look at your pec minor and anterior delt

    If you are actually having to go to a physio or chiro for a structural imbalance, you should be looking at treatment to determine and fix the root cause. Be proactive rather than reactive mate

    Either way, a good sports physio will be able to analyze and determine what you need

    Sports!! Make sure the professional is a sports specialist, sports physiology, sports massage, sports nutrition etc, my chiropractor gets me to go and have a massage at least once a month, I go every 3 wks and see my chiro when needed (2-3 months)
