Default DVD Review - Jay Cutler Undisputed

Filmed both preceeding and after his victory at the 2009 Olympia, it shows Jay in phenomenal shape. The DVD is predominately filmed in black and white to give it that hardcore look (ala Branch Warren, Train Insane and Unchained Raw Reality and Dorian's Blood and Guts). It is apparent that Jay has obviously been influenced by Hany Rambod since his form is far more strict then in his previous DVD's and he is not lifting as much weight as a result. In addition he is now counting reps and many of his exercises are similar to what you will see on the FST-7 DVD.

In addition to Jay's haircut he now is doing this untied shoe look when training arms (what's that all about?).

In summary, if you're a Jay Cutler fan this DVD is definitely worth getting if not, it's still worth getting because you are watching a three time Olympia legend do what he does best and explaining why he does it that way. This aspect I found the most interesting and useful.

This trailer's a bit OTT but it's in no way a true reflection of the quality of the DVD which in my opinion is his best to date.

Well, I can honestly say I was actually disappointed with this latest instalment of Culter DVD's. I don't know it I just had high expectations or not from his last DVD "All Access", but I truly wasn't expecting just another training DVD. He did have a bit of extra's at the end of the DVD, but not enough to warrant a good Jay Cutler DVD. All Access took a whole new approach to filming Jay, with its Documentary style outlay, and after viewing the trailer to Undisputed, I was expecting more of the same.

The content however was pretty good for training DVD's. Filmed in black and white for the entire training portion gave it the hard core "Blood and Guts" feel, but sadly didn't pull it off too well. I guess its pretty hard to do when comparing it to Blood and Guts. It was a nice addition to the way the film was made, and overall it didn't draw away from the typical Jay Cutler style. Jay does train a little differently in this DVD, which is a nice change from the norm, but it does also cut the DVD a lot shorter though lol.

Overall this DVD is well worth the buy if your a recent Jay cutler fan, to some others, but not all obviously, it will be a very welcomed addition to his long list of other titles. I can't say I'm totally rapped with this addition, but I am stoked to have it nonetheless.
