Default DVD Review - FST-7 Defined

I've not long ago finished watching FST-7 Defined for the second time in a row, not because its that good, but its just so easy to watch. The DVD itself doesn't go for too long, but it covers quite a good deal of Hany's FST-7 principles. The workouts themselves seem to be lacking a little in intensity from what I expected, and the FST-7 portion of the workout wasn't as complicated as I thought.

Hany goes through the 5 bodyparts (Legs, Shoulders, Back, Chest and Arms) with Tamer El-Gundy, Jay Cutler and Phil Heath, shows the workout, then goes through the 7 sets at the end. What he also does is after the "celebrity" workout he shows the 7 sets in more detail with Tamer, which is a nice little addition. I found he does contradict himself a lot through the DVD in regards to form, and one thing I found REALLY annoying was the "good" he puts in after every single rep pretty much, lol.

Between bodyparts he has interviews about his training system, then quite a good deal on who he works with and some of the things he does with Jay and Phil. The part I enjoyed the most with the interviews is the "decompression" part which he uses to describe what Jay and Phil do to de-stress and also taking in some junk food during the off season. Cant half tell that he used Jay and Phill to sell the DVD, but to be honest, Phil doesnt even look like he wanted to be there during the training.

I did enjoy this DVD more so than some of my others I have in my collection, I would not rate it as an all time favourite, but its something I could watch more than once. A good addition to anyone's collection.

Yes I've got this DVD too and it is easy to watch. I've also started using it in my training but not on all body parts.

Did you also notice that in the DVD Phil and Hany seem to have a rapport but with Jay it's all business. Even when they're at In and Out Burger, Phil and Hany are joking around and Jay is silent just watching. To me that explains their respective placing at the Olympia

i watched part of this but the 'dvd' was scratched. i only watch legs with Tamer. I liked the dvd but i didnt get to fully understand it before it broke.

RF jay is a dry mofo thats why he wasnt joking around lol. Thats what i like about BBers like Lee, Ronnie they like to have a laugh, not too much but they have a personality not just 'i train to win and be big cos i want to be mr o and nothing can take that away from my thinking cos if i think about something else its all over' think you know what i mean lol
I look exactly like Shawn Ray except for my biceps, triceps, chest, shoulders, abs, back, traps, quads, hamstrings, and calves.

You maybe right but have you watched Jay's DVD, All Access. I think that gives you a pretty good picture of who Jay is. Lol also there is nothing wrong with keeping an eye on the prize even at the expense of kidding around.. that's my humble opinion.

i watched the first half ill watch the rest when i gt some time. Yeah you're right there but even when you are away from the gym? i mean take your diet and rest and what ever just as seriously but to be that obsessed you cant crack a smile? Kai Greens 'Overkill' is an example of this. Just constantly beating yourself up? not needed i thinks...

I agree with you there Thrasha but sometimes I think that they are serious because there is a camera pointed at them. As for Kai, well you see him in Overkill and then you see him here.. wtf!
