Default Need help with weight loss and exercise!

    Hi everyone,

I'm hoping some of you can share your experiences with me. I'm a 21 year old female, about 5'5" high and weight is around 65kg, but most of my fat is in my stomach and thighs. I've recently started making bigger changes to my diet, trying to eat smaller meals more often, cut sugar where I can, up my protein and healthy fats.

I'd really like to lose the excess weight and tone up a bit too. I was thinking about adding some strength training, but I've been told that it can do more damage than good if you're not doing it correctly.

I don't go to the gym, but I have a treadmill and dumbbells at home, and could probably do about 30-45 minutes a day 4-5 days a week, if I know what I'm doing!

Can anyone recommend anything? What worked and didn't work for you? Should I add supplements and if so, which ones?

    Thanks everyone for your help!

    Hi, Jaiden,

According to your info, I'd suggest Shaun T's exercises, aka T25, which literally includes 25 mins workout per day, and 6 days per week. These exercises can be performed at home.

While I haven't experienced them, and don't know whether they are as effective as advertised. Has anyone here heard about T25? Maybe you can give more helpful information to our sis.

    Cheers

You only need to do weight training 2-3 days a week, and 2-3 days of cardio. Find a good pt and pay the money for the, to teach you how to safely train, 6-12 lesson should be plenty depending on how quick u pick it up and how good the pt is.

Here is a few reason why u should get a good pt.

7 benefits of using an experienced Personal Trainer (PT)

    1) TECHNIQUE - An experienced PT will ensure that you train safely with correct technique so that you do not injure yourself in the short or long term. Damage to your joints and muscles can occur over numerous years if you do not have correct technique.

    2) FAST TRACK - With correct technique also comes the increased ability to advance toward your goals at a far greater rate. Why waste time hoping that what you are doing will get results?

    3) CORRECT FOOD TYPES - A PT will ensure that you eat the correct food types so that you will recover quicker, have less pain during recovery and build more lean body mass.

    4) NUTRITIONAL TIMING - A PT will also ensure that you eat the correct food types at the most appropriate times to speed up your recovery, increase fat burning and increase muscle growth. Why work at 100% effort in the gym only to miss out on potential improvements due to bad nutritional timing?

    5) CARDIO ZONE - A PT will ensure that you are working in your optimal fat burning zone to increase your bodies fat burning capacity, so that you burn fat quicker and reach your goals sooner.

    6) SECRET TECHNIQUES - A PT will teach you how to work smart, not hard to reach your goals. For example: why use 20kg incorrectly risking injury to yourself to achieve what 10kg used correctly can achieve? With this method of training you put far less stress on your joints and yet still achieve better results than using the 20kg. This method of training will also allow you to be pain free and active well into your 70's and beyond.

    7) BODY LANGUAGE - An experienced PT will read your body language during sessions and then use this information to help you achieve results at a far greater rate than if you trained alone.

Warning it's hard to find a good pt they r like 1 in 100
